Under the helm of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is setting a new course in its democratic journey. Since the Modi government took over in 2014, there’s been a distinctive shift towards progressive policies, steering the nation towards a brighter and more inclusive future. A shining example of this vision is the recent passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill, aptly termed as the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.

At a gathering at the BJP Headquarters in New Delhi, Modi expressed his pride and joy for the nation’s women, hailing the bill’s passage as a hallmark of India’s renewed democratic dedication. This legislation, according to Modi, is not just a momentary triumph but a legacy that future generations will cherish. Gratitude flowed as Modi extended his appreciation to both legislative houses, acknowledging all political factions and MPs for their fervent endorsement of the historic bill. The Prime Minister candidly shared the challenges that previous administrations faced, often stopping at mere lip service.

However, the recent success, he emphasized, underscores the importance of a robust, decisive government with an unequivocal majority, a governance style he’s championed since 2014. Transparency and unwavering intent were the guiding principles in overcoming the long-standing barriers to the bill’s passage, Modi revealed. This accomplishment echoes his administration’s broader commitment to clean governance and a corruption-free approach to business, factors that have earned India a prominent spot on the global stage.

Further underscoring his commitment to women’s rights, Modi highlighted various empowerment initiatives under his leadership. The Matru Vandana Yojana stands out, providing direct monetary support to expectant and new mothers, an endeavor to keep maternal mortality rates in check. Additionally, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign has been pivotal in battling female infanticide and fostering a healthier gender balance in the country.

BJP national president, JP Nadda, joined in the applause. He emphasized that these groundbreaking decisions centered on women’s empowerment signal a transformative phase for India’s destiny. With the recent legislative development promising one-third seat reservation for women across various assemblies, it’s evident that under Modi’s leadership, India’s democratic ethos is evolving to be more inclusive and forward-thinking.
